Lingle was established in October 2011 to commercialise research conducted by Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) and the National Digital Research Centre (NDRC) under the NDRC Catalyser programme. Lingle provides web-based resources for English language teachers and schools which enables rapid development of customized lessons and activities from current, authentic text, such as today's news. Teachers currently use either course books whose content can be stale, stagnant and unmotivating for the learner or they spend hours searching, analysing and editing newspaper and magazine articles to produce their own engaging, relevant authentic materials.Lingle provides up-to-date materials and activities in just a few minutes.
