87 yaşındaki annem tıbbi sorunlar yaşamaya devam ettiğinden ve ben 30 mil uzakta yaşadığımdan, 2 haneyi yönetmeye ve bir saat uzakta çalışmaya çalıştığım için bir süreli bakım başvurusu doldurdum. Annem Lexington ilçesinde yaşıyordu ve ben Aiken'de yaşıyorum. Lexington ilçesinde yaşamadığım için bana yardım edemeyecekleri söylendi. Aşağı Savannah Konseyi ile iletişime geçmemi ve bir mola başvurusu doldurmamı söylediler, ben de yaptım. Annemin Aiken ilçesinde yaşamadığı için bana yardım edemeyeceklerini söylediler. Ne?? Tahmin et o zaman ne oldu ??? YARDIM ALMADIM !!! Bakıcılara yardım istemelerini söylerler ama yaptığınızda kimse yardım etmez. Yardım etmeleri gerektiğini ama reddettiklerini bilmek beni hasta ediyor ...

Orta Midlands Konseyi, kocamın hastalığı sırasında çok destekleyici bir kaynak oldu. Onların Bakıcı Hibesi, aşkımla ilgilenirken çok ihtiyaç duyduğum bir ara verebilmem için bize mola hizmetleri verdi.
