İngiltere'nin ilk IMAX tiyatrosu da dahil olmak üzere sekiz katlı ücretsiz galeri ve üç sinema ile ziyaretçiler kendilerini bir medya yeniliği dünyasına kaptırabilir. Müzenin koleksiyonu, fotoğraflardan filmlere ve televizyon programlarına kadar uzanan 3,5 milyondan fazla parça içeriyor.
Ulusal Medya Müzesi, 1983 yılında Ulusal Fotoğraf, Film ve Televizyon Müzesi (NMPFT) olarak kuruldu. Daha sonra, her türlü medya teknolojisine daha geniş odaklanmasını yansıtmak için 2006 yılında Ulusal Medya Müzesi olarak yeniden adlandırıldı.
