Spruce Pine United Methodist Kilisesi'nde herkesin hoş karşılandığı sıcak ve samimi bir atmosfer bulacaksınız. İster bölgede yeni olun, ister yıllardır burada yaşıyor olun, bu kilise başka yerde bulması zor olabilecek bir aidiyet duygusu sunuyor. Cemaat, Tanrı'ya ibadet etmek ve birbirini desteklemek için bir araya gelen her türden insandan oluşur.

Koro provaları, ara verdikleri yaz ayları dışında yıl boyunca Çarşamba akşamları yapılır.

Bu programlara ek olarak, Spruce Pine Birleşik Metodist Kilisesi ayrıca yıl boyunca cemaat üyelerini ve kilise topluluğu dışından insanları bir araya getiren çeşitli etkinliklere ev sahipliği yapmaktadır. Bu etkinlikler arasında Paskalya yumurtası avı veya Noel yarışmaları gibi tatil kutlamaları; akşam yemekleri veya oyun geceleri gibi sosyal toplantılar; Habitat for Humanity inşaatları veya gıda gezileri gibi hizmet projeleri; Waynesville NC yakınlarındaki Lake Junaluska Konferans Merkezi'nde inziva yerleri.

Spruce Pine Birleşik Metodist Kilisesi'ni bölgedeki diğer kiliselerden ayıran bir şey, sosyal yardım bakanlıklarına olan bağlılığıdır. Kilise, aile içi şiddet/cinsel saldırı mağdurlarına/hayatta kalanlara hizmet sağlayan Mitchell County SafePlace gibi yerel kuruluşları destekler; kira/ipotek, kamu hizmetleri ve yiyecek konusunda acil yardım sağlayan Mitchell County Shepherd's Staff; Mitchell County Cares, sigortasız veya eksik sigortalı olanlar için tıbbi harcamalarda yardım sağlar.

Kilise ayrıca Birleşik Metodist Kilisesi'nin bağlantı sistemi aracılığıyla küresel misyonları destekler. İhtiyacı olan insanlara yardım ve destek sağlamak için Haiti, Guatemala ve Nikaragua gibi yerlere misyon ekipleri gönderdi.
